|
A new blood glucose monitor (Gluco-X) is developed in Korea. This is a reflectance photometer designed for use with reagent strips. We evaluated the performance of this monitor in the present study. Inherent imprecision(CV) of Gluco-X was
1.0-4.2%.
the
linearity study revealed r=0.998, which was satisfactory. Correlation equation and coefficient for results by Gluco-X(y) vs those by hexokinase method (x) were :y=0.88x+42.09, r=0.927, which was satisfactory. The volume of blood applied to the
test
strip and duration of color development were little effect on the blood glucose values. But duration of blood incubation should be precise, because prolonged incubation produced a signifidnat increase in blood glucose values. The effect of
hematocrit
was critical: high in low hematocrit and low in high hematocrit.
